When I graduated from university as a first generation and international student, I had 90 days to find a job or leave the country, with 0 connections and no family in the country.
I went from
0% response rate to 100 job applications to
70% response rate to 10 job applications. Since then, I've worked in career development and entrepreneurship in over 40+ industries, clients have achieved salary increases, landing supervisory roles and selling out their product launch in 24 hours.
Outside of coaching...
I help women of color tell and share stories we typically don't tell, and create a platform for anyone to listen.
In 2019, Veronica Antipolo (@sassy_la_v) & I cofounded MOSAIC Untold Lives, a storytelling event by and for women of color to share true stories and increase representation of diverse lives. Women of color is an umbrella term for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and Asian women of all ages. We also welcome non-binary storytellers.
Anyone can attend. If you want to go somewhere to hear true life stories that are different from your own, where would you start? Do you know where you can go to give a listening ear to diverse perspectives so you can understand more?
