When I graduated from university as an international student during a recession, I had 90 days to find a job or leave the country with 0 connections and no family in the country. I sent out of 100s of applications with 0 responses. I was devastated.
I realized I had a ton of skills, but no idea how to market myself! I had to learn quickly. And I had a lot of self-doubt.
I didn't want just any job I wanted a job that aligns with who I am as a person. That's when I designed a system to help me narrow down my career goals and sell myself. I called it my "happy career."
I ended up going:
- from 0% response rate to 100+ applications
- to a 70% response rate to 10 applications.
I landed my dream job at my target company. I was chosen as 1 out of 132 online applicants with 0 connections, and at a salary higher than I targeted. I was 21 years old and the youngest full-time staff at the company that considered "young employees" 25 - 30.
In my first 18 months on the job, I was given a role 5 levels higher and paid a few thousand in bonuses, coordinating a team of four.

I spent the last decade filtering through the contradicting information you can find on the internet, testing and sharing career growth lessons with over 1,200 seasoned professionals, career changers, recent graduates and job searchers. I designed this as a SHORTCUT to give you tools for career growth.
